As the Senior Principal Product Manager for AI Vision Services at Oracle, you will spearhead the development and launch of pioneering cloud-based solutions aimed at transforming the movie and media production industry. This role requires a visionary leader who can navigate the complexities of studio production, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and software product management to deliver tools and services that enable seamless, efficient, and innovative content creation from anywhere in the world. Expect to work closely with a group of experts in the field of artificial intelligence and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

As part of the OCI Product Management team, you will be responsible for developing innovative AI services for our customers. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Vision and Strategy: Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for cloud-based studio production services. Align this vision with the overall company strategy and market demands.

  • Product Development: Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of new cloud services and tools. This includes overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept through to market release and iterations.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure product success.

  • Market Analysis: Continuously analyze the market, competitors, and trends in cloud computing, media production, and SaaS solutions. Use insights to inform product direction and features.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key industry stakeholders, potential customers, and partners to gather requirements, validate product concepts, and ensure market fit.

  • User Experience: Champion a user-centric design approach to ensure that the tools are intuitive, powerful, and meet the needs of film and media professionals.

  • Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product, monitor these metrics post-launch, and iterate on the product for continuous improvement.

  • Advocacy: Act as the product evangelist, promoting the product internally and externally through webinars, conferences, and industry events.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in product management with at least 5 years in a senior role, ideally within the tech industry focusing on cloud services, artificial intelligence, or media production tools.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Film Studies, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, software development processes, and ideally, the technical underpinnings of video production and post-production.

  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire innovation and manage complex projects.

  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner to diverse audiences.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about technology and business opportunities, with a knack for anticipating future trends and needs in the media industry.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with or knowledge of the entertainment industry, particularly in film or TV production.

  • Familiarity with agile/lean methodologies for product development.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
