Job Description
Client advocate that provides product expertise and translates their needs into integrated solutions.
Responsible for translating the client’s business needs into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client, as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Provides direction for design activities.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.

Responsibilities
The Cloud Architect is responsible for ACS customer service solutions for private and public multi cloud technologies including Infrastructure, Networks, IaaS, PaaS and Middleware, Database (DBaaS) and Applications(SaaS). Service solutions include as well Systems Management, Backup&Recovery, High availability, Disaster Recovery and Security. The Cloud Architect has a solution-oriented attitude and understands the Customer Business and industry requirements to derive the best service solution for provisioning and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the deployment of the customers’ workloads to Oracle Cloud by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
Provide hands-on assistance to Oracle’s Top Tier customers in design, implementation and rollout out Oracle and allied products to meet business needs
Accelerate consumption in high potential customer accounts by providing deep technical expertise. Lead deployment of projects, creation and delivery of technical content, with a dedicated focus on Oracle cloud services, and lift and shift of customer workloads from OnPrem to Oracle Cloud.
In this role one will engage with a wide cross section of internal and external partners – development, support, Oracle consulting services, and third-party partners to drive Oracle Cloud adoption efforts.

Preferred Technical Skills and Experience:
10+ years of work experience in any combination of engineering, product management and consulting with increasing responsibilities, with at least 5+ years as Cloud Architect with whole stack expertise.
Overall good knowledge of Oracles private, hybrid and public cloud solutions
Hands on skills administrating and implementing multi-tenant applications, Big Data, Databases (NoSQL and SQL)
Knowledge and understanding of all aspects tuning, software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage.
Install, implement and use open source software like Grafana/Prometheus for enterprise wide deployments
Understanding of systems, network, storage, identity and web technologies
Knowledge and use of REST APIs
Analysis of cloud strategies, design and development of tools for Oracle Public Cloud
Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients’ internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Public Cloud technology.
Ability to on-board seed systems onto Public Cloud and provide guidance in the platform evaluation.
Hands-on experience with at least two clouds (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
Understanding of Data structures and algorithms
Proficiency in shell scripting, Python and either Java or C++ Conversant with containers and DevOps paradigm
Exposure to Oracle Database and Applications - e-business suite, PeopleSoft, JDEdwards and configuration experience preferred.
Exposure to Oracle Middleware Experience – weblogic server, coherence, SOA, IDM preferred.
3+ years of experience in design and implementation of Oracle products in Oracle or other 3rd party clouds desired.
Two full cycle implementations of Cloud desired

US: Hiring Range: from $52.45 to $107.45 per hour; from $109,100 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
