Purpose

The Product Manager will lead internal team to effectively anticipate trends and needs and execute brand plans and vision. Execute marketing strategies and messages. Collaborate with other functions including Sales, Regulatory, Medical, Compliance, Commercial Operations and Finance to execute decisions and monitor product performance. Utilize both written and verbal communication skills to provide clear direction on brand vision and strategies to sales team and other field representative from commercial organization. Maintain fiscal responsibility and complete all activities on time and on budget. Interact continuously with internal and external stakeholders on their needs and insights.

This is a hybrid position that is based in Boston, MA and will require approximately 25% travel. Travel will vary based upon projects and internal/external meetings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop HCP and Patient branded/unbranded tactical plan under the guidance of the Director and in cooperation with cross-functional Commercial, Medical, and Patient Advocacy team.

  • Drive peer-to-peer planning and implementation and ensure that initiatives are aligned with brand strategy; lead the planning and execution of all speaker programs for assigned brands.

  • Plan and execute sponsorship presence and participation in defined priority congresses.

  • Ensure successful execution of field-driven tactics through cross-functional collaboration with sales, patient services, market access, and patient advocacy team.

  • Manage agency partners on creation of marketing materials for optimal execution and ensure that all tactics are delivered on time and on budget.

  • Work with digital engagement colleagues on the design and execution of impactful digital marketing tactics, including social media marketing, in support of the assigned brands’ goals.

  • Ensure brand performance tracking/monitoring and make action-planning recommendations to maximize performance.

  • Ensures compliance with all corporate polices, regulations and laws.

  • Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by Director.

Experience Required

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible marketing and/or other relevant commercial experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.

  • US marketing experience required.

  • Rare disease marketing experience a plus.

  • Digital marketing experience a plus.

  • Independent self-starter with the ability to work and deliver without close supervision while displaying a “can do” attitude.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team environment consisting of functional and cross-functional team members.
