The Bio-Inspired Perception and Robotics Laboratory (BPRL) welcomes applications for a Systems and Control Engineer. This position will support research activities in the areas of sensory system design and analysis, control systems design, and system modeling. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2025.

Who We Are
The Bio-Inspired Perception and Robotics Laboratory (BPRL) is a facility in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Robotics Graduate Program at the University of Colorado, Boulder that conducts research and development in the areas of field robotics and biologically inspired robotics. We seek to distill the fundamental sensing, processing and feedback principles that govern robust behavior in organisms to enable new classes of robotic systems with improved agility, locomotion and autonomy.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Lead modeling and system identification efforts for aerial robotic platforms.

The salary for this position is $36,000.00 per year, working 20 hours per week.

What We Require
- PhD in Robotics or a related engineering discipline.
What You Will Need
Knowledge of system identification tools including DMDc.
Knowledge of feedback control techniques including H-infinity and H-2 synthesis techniques.
Knowledge of multivariable control, operator theory, system identification and modeling, and dynamical systems.
