Robert Half Grants Manager in Bowie, Maryland
Description We are seeking an Interim Grants Manager to join our team with an organization located in Prince George's County, Maryland. As a Grants Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of accounting support and financial activities related to the organization's restricted fund accounts. This role includes ensuring fiscal coordination between the organization's program managers and sponsoring agency fiscal officers.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the provision of accounting support and the monitoring of financial activities of the restricted fund accounts • Act as the primary liaison between the sponsoring agency fiscal officers and the program managers • Work closely with program managers/principal investigators, providing training and accounting assistance as needed • Review and approve budget adjustments and requisitions to permanent employees to ensure compliance with grant/contract requirements • Assist in the development of budgets for grant and contract funded programs • Develop and implement daily financial operational procedures for restricted fund activity • Ensure the timely receipt of grant and contract related reimbursements • Oversee the recording of drawdowns to appropriate accounts and manage the maintenance and monitoring of account receivable records • Oversee the development of sponsored program budget information annually • Oversee the development and maintenance of the indirect cost reimbursement rate • Oversee the preparation of sponsor agency financial reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Grant Accounting, with a solid understanding of financial principles and regulations related to grant funding
• Proven experience in Contract Compliance, ensuring that all grant agreements and contracts adhere to necessary rules and guidelines
• Strong skills in Budgeting, with the ability to develop, manage, and monitor budgets related to grant funding
• Must possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants and projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate grant proposals and reports
• Must have a strong understanding of the current trends and changes in the field of education, particularly at the university level
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Must possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze grant data effectively
• Strong computer skills, particularly in grant management software and other related systems
• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, or Education
• Must have a strong commitment to ethical practices and maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
