Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Boyd, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Boyd, Texas, 76023, United States. The individual will be involved in various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. The role also requires managing relationships with vendors and customers, as well as overseeing junior staff if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full cycle of accounting, including the management of accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Prepare detailed financial reports, which include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Assist in the development of budgets, monitor actual performance against budgeted amounts, and provide forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation, and support the audit process.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Utilize and manage accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and streamline accounting processes.

• Oversee and mentor junior bookkeeping or accounting staff, if applicable.

• Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.

• Manage relationships with vendors and customers, including resolving any billing or payment issues.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated ability in Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Annual Budget planning and execution

• Proven ability in Cash Flow Analysis

• Proficient in using QuickBooks for financial transactions

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of Audit - Financial procedures and practices
