What You'll Do:
The Lead Bartender is both a hands-on team member attending and catering to our guests, and also a leader on the floor as a shining example of our expectations of service. Beyond the direct service responsibilities, this position will assist the Spencer's Manager and Assistant Manager in training serving staff, maintaining standards, opening/closing duties, and providing stability and experience in the position. This position will own the cocktail menu and be in charge of creating seasonal cocktails and overseeing the implementation of recipes. The Lead Bartender will be responsible for liquor management, including security, inventory, and ordering. The ideal candidate will come with a passion for food, drink, and great service; be adaptable/flexible while maintaining a positive attitude; be comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; and have an eye for detail. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility.
Position starts at $16.00/hr + Tips
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide excellent guest service and ensure all needs are met
Learn menus and be able to upsell food, wine, and cocktails, including daily specials
Create seasonal cocktail recipes for drink menu
Assist management in training bar staff
Maintain service standards for self and rest of service staff
Manage liquor including inventory, security, and ordering
Assist in the setup of the bar area
Ensure cleanliness and presentability of the facilities
Various other tasks as needed
What You'll Bring:
2+ years full-service bartending experience, preferably fine/fine-casual dining - preferred
1+ years lead or supervisory experience in restaurant setting - preferred
1+ years creating cocktail recipes for menus - preferred
Proficient at written and verbal communication in English - required
Familiarity with Micros and NCR - preferred
