At Amgen Breda, medicines are labeled, assembled, stored, and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

Join our dynamic Treasury department for an enriching internship where you'll manage the company's actual cash and contribute to our in-house banking operations. This role presents a unique opportunity to solve monthly challenges and collaborate closely with Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Tax, and Finance. Our department handles all Treasury-related activities outside the US, offering a broad and international scope.

As an intern, your primary task will be to analyze and improve payment-related activities, making them faster and less dependent on manual interventions. Additionally, if time permits, you will work on bank account management, including opening, closing, and maintaining our bank account portfolio.

Deliverables:

  • Identify the best available IT tools in the Amgen toolset for efficient bank account portfolio management.

  • Develop a process to handle manual payments with zero errors and minimal human intervention.

  • Enhance efficiencies and clarify responsibilities in cross-functional activities with Accounts Payable and Accounting.

  • Discover and implement the best tools for the described outcomes.

To be successful as an intern you need the following:

  • Be a pre-final or a final year student, from both bachelor’s and master’s studies in Finance, Accounting, and International Business.

  • Have proficiency in English (both verbal and written. Dutch is a plus).
