Summary You will serve as a LEAD POLICE OFFICER in the Force Protection Division of NAVBASE KITSAP SEC DET. Responsibilities You will conduct preliminary and non-criminal investigations in compliance with probable cause requirements. You will carry firearms or other weapons authorized for a specific jurisdiction. You will conduct investigations through record checks, interviews, surveillance, or other methods to ascertain any criminal activity. You will identify course of action to be taken in emergency situations. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Identifying/Deploying specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge, and/or training pertaining to law enforcement and security; 3) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; and 4) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations. You must qualify and maintain qualifications for assignment to Nuclear Fuels Security Force duties when directed for refueling and defueling (RF/DF) operations in accordance with NAVSEAINST 9210.22E.
