Montana-Dakota Utilities Quality Control (QC) Specialist I/II in Bremerton, Washington

Description Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Performs Quality Control reviews, inspections, and audits to determine conformance with applicable standards; to include company policies/procedures, and federal and state regulations. Assists with the execution of Utility Group Quality Control program functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS QC Specialist I - ($69,380 - $86,730) Must possess analytical skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in a business, legal or engineering related discipline; and Three years' experience working with gas distribution and transmission standards, systems, or equivalent quality experience. QC Specialist II - ($79,760 - $99,700) Must possess analytical skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in a business, legal or engineering related discipline; and Five years' experience working with gas distribution and transmission standards, systems, or equivalent quality experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS All: Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered. May be required to maintain a valid driver's license. Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks. Program QC: Requires travel: Minimal (up to 10%) With an approved telecommute agreement, may live within the MDU Utilities Group service territory. Field QC: Must live in the assigned MDU Utilities Group region of inspection responsibility. Participates in all field safety programs i.e. FR clothing, Safety Shoe. Will be assigned a company vehicle; required extensive daily travel within the assigned region of responsibility and may have up to 25% overnight travel, generally but not limited to assigned region of responsibility. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Level I Quality and/or compliance experience in utility operations. Experience with reviewing, inspecting or auditing to standards. Experience with work management software and mobile inspection systems. Level II Four or more years of quality and/or compliance experience in utility operations. Prior experience with reviewing, inspecting, or auditing to standards. Prior experience with work management software and mobile inspection systems. JOB RESPONSIBILTIES Promotes quality and safety as the forefront of all activity. Performs basic record reviews for DOT/PHMSA regulated operations, maintenance and construction tasks. Supports education and awareness efforts for various elements of the corporate wide Quality Control System. Determines conformance to applicable standards.
