The Washington District Attorney's Office is seeking applicants for an Assistant District Attorney (Felony Prosecutor) for the Brenham, Texas office. This is a full-time position that serves the Washington County Attorney.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Reports to the District Attorney.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but not limited to the following:
The position duties include felony prosecution from intake through trial, advising law enforcement in criminal matters and possible civil work as well (bond forfeitures, asset forfeitures, expunctions). Prosecution and courtroom experience is preferred. This is a new position in the office and will work closely with the District Attorney and three other Assistants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed by the State Bar of Texas
- Holder of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited Law School
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Organization, professionalism, communication, and grammatical skills are essential.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to learn, update and edit existing proprietary applications and quickly learn to use various computer systems.
- Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions, manage deadlines and adapt to changes in workflow.
- Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, court representatives, law enforcement representatives and witnesses.
- No supervisory skills needed.
- Able to manage the case load and tasks with fellow employees, equally.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primarily light physical and intellectually stressful work in an office environment.
