Blue Bell Creameries has three plants of which manufacture ice cream. We currently have opportunities forFacilities Building Maintenance Techniciansto join our team at the Brenham, TX location. Ideal candidates should be able to work unsupervised, be detail oriented, and enjoy the challenges that a dynamic food manufacturing facility has to offer.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidate will be responsible for schedule and completion of repair requests made through Maximo Production. Daily performance includes but is not limited to:

• Plumbing duties include installation and repair work with respect to: (Clearing clogged vent and sanitary lines, Lavatory, water closet, floor drain, and urinal repair, locating and repairing leaks and flush valve repair and fixture replacements)
• General carpentry work
• Minor wall tile repair and replacement
• Door installation and repair including: (Closure adjustment and replacement and Keypad installation and repair)
• Emergency and permanent repairs to mitigate, slip, trip, and fall hazards
• Providing support to various construction disciplines to facilitate proper and timely repairs
• Willingness to be subject to work on an On-Call basis

Requirements

A candidate must possess the following:

• Valid drivers license
• Safe driving record with no more than two preventable collisions or moving violations in the past three years
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, work at heights, train to operate aerial lift

Required Education:

• High school or equivalent

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Plumbing in a facilities maintenance setting: 5 years
• Carpentry in a facilities maintenance setting: 5 years
• Floor / Wall Tile experience in a residential / commercial environment
