Currently seeking Machinists with Milling and Lathe experience for a local manufacturer that specializes in filtration systems. Candidates with previous experience in CNC, Lathe and Milling are encouraged to ! This is a permanent opportunity with plenty of growth of opportunity! Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up lathes for operation by installation

• Load raw materials or workpieces onto the lathe machine and secure them in place using clamps, bolts, or other fixtures.

• Write, edit, or load pre-existing CNC programs into the lathe's control unit to specify the sequence of machining operations, such as turning, facing, drilling, boring, and threading.

• Choose appropriate cutting tools based on the material being machined, the desired surface finish, and the required dimensional accuracy.

• Operate manual or CNC lathe machines to perform machining operations according to the programmed instructions, adjusting cutting speeds, feed rates, and tool offsets as needed.

• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and dial indicators to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
