Analyst, Operations & Reporting
Overall Job Summary
This position will support the ongoing success of Tractor Supply’s Analytics and Reporting needs for the Store Operations department. The Analyst, Ops & Reporting will provide the insight and analysis needed to promote execution, understanding, and growth across our 2000+ stores. In addition, they will also provide support, ownership, and direction for enhancing the Power BI and Alteryx applications to help improve the customer and team member experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
Discuss, design, and implement automated reports in Power BI for field and senior leadership
Develop, validate, and maintain automated data transmissions from internal and external sources
Stage, organize, and analyze large amounts of data in Alteryx for reporting in Power BI
Use analytical skills to identify root causes for business problems and provide business commentary to help realize solutions
Identifies and resolves any data quality issues by conducting both routine and ad-hoc data cleaning and testing
Support Store Operations in the areas of reviewing operations related data, financial reporting, and other project management tasks
Other analytical and process improvement projects as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience: 2 – 4 years of related business, financial, or data analytics experience
Experience with Power BI and Alteryx software is preferred
Previous retail experience at a corporate or regional level is a plus
Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required education
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business Administration, Analytics, IT, or related field) preferred or equivalent experience
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail to meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communications skills with field operators as well as executives and other leadership
Ability to work independently and with little supervision in a project management like environment
Ability to describe vision, business and technical planning, and deep data understanding
Communication skills to setup and maintain processes that meet or exceed the needs of the team
Required technical proficiencies:
Power BI
Alteryx Designer
Microsoft Office software (Excel and Access)
Experience with Business Objects highly preferred
