Job Summary and Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to cultivate academic partnerships that align with PS's growth objectives across service lines such as Laboratory Services, Physician Practice Operations, and Urgent Care.

  • Workforce Development: Lead efforts to enhance recruitment, training, and retention strategies tailored to support PS's service line expansion through academic partnerships. This includes identifying opportunities for collaboration with educational institutions to develop and enrich talent pipelines.

  • Governance and Coordination: Establish and oversee governance structures to ensure effective coordination and alignment of academic partnership initiatives across PS's diverse service lines. This involves fostering collaboration among internal stakeholders and external partners. Aligning on standards and defining clear success metrics.

  • Intellectual Leadership: Provide thought leadership and innovation in the development of educational programs and initiatives that enhance PS's reputation and capabilities in healthcare service delivery.

  • Promotion and Growth: Actively promote PS's academic affiliations and talent pipelines to enhance visibility and attract top talent, while strategically positioning PS as a leader in healthcare education and workforce development.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic academic partnerships and channel strategies to drive recruitment, training, and retention efforts across PSG service lines.

  • Design a framework and processes to establish, maintain, and grow strategic academic partnerships.

  • Develop relationships with academic institutions to understand and translate student needs into relevant program offerings and colleague training.

  • Cultivate partnerships and create programs that strengthen the talent pipeline.

  • Oversee third-party partner relationships; build mechanisms to track and measure growth.

  • Establish and track programmatic metrics to assess success of partnerships and strategies (e.g., placement rate, turnover rate, etc.)

  • Create alignment with internal departments, leadership, and stakeholders to maximize outreach and grow academic partnerships that support enterprise goals (e.g., retention, engagement).

  • Provide oversight and fiscal management to ensure sustainable budget models for a variety of programmatic activities.

  • Adhere to all HCA Healthcare and PSG policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years of related experience; operational experience with cross-functional and matrixed environments required

  • Healthcare experience desired

  • Working knowledge of higher-education institutions and academic culture.

  • Experience in building partnerships within academic institutions and organizations preferred.

  • Portfolio management, project management and business acumen required

  • Vendor management skills to oversee partner relationships. Communication skills to maintain rapport and negotiate terms effectively.

  • Analytical skills to develop metrics. Communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration skills to align goals across departments. Communication skills to convey the strategic importance of partnerships and gain support from leadership and stakeholders.

  • Financial acumen to manage budgets. Communication skills to justify budgetary needs and report financial performance.
