PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Serves as a business/product owner and identifies and evaluates product and/or service opportunities for the corresponding business unit, analyzing feasibility, market needs and revenue opportunities.

  • Supports work by acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for projects involving; IT technical product managers, project managers, business analyst, and developers to guide the development of new or enhanced product offerings for the corresponding business unit.

  • Provides product vision by defining an evolutionary path for new or enhanced product offerings for the corresponding business unit.

  • Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, user acceptance testing, and integration of products.

  • Conducts research and develops a good understanding of the customer's needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors.

  • Serves as a member of a global, cross-functional team that translates customer needs and technology directions into product definitions.

  • Identifies valuable data sources and automates collection processes.

  • Develops analytical models that track various external and internal trends and implements data-driven solutions.

  • Performs data mining, cleansing, and aggregation processes to prepare data, implement data models, conduct analysis, and develop databases.

  • Analyzes large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.

  • Proposes solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges and provide actionable solutions and results.

  • Presents information using data visualization techniques.

  • Participates in the creation of documentation or user guides for new products.

  • Provides mentorship to less experienced Product Managers and serves as a specialist on complex technical and business matters.

  • Benchmarks competitive products to assess strengths and weaknesses.

  • Other duties as required or assigned.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or cross functionally to resolve issues and generate results.

  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong, positive relationships with other departments within Cass organization.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience with data management/science tools including data intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

  • SQL query writing skills with a proven understanding of relational database design preferred.

  • Programming and strong math skills with knowledge of statistical programming languages (e.g., Python), database query languages (e.g., SQL), and machine learning/AI preferred.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing, at all organizational levels internally and externally.

    MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in business, computer science/engineering, technology, or other related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.

  • Based on Product Management Business Unit assignment may need:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a technology related capacity, preferably as Data Analyst or Data Scientist

  • 1-3 years of experience in the industry preferred.

  • Experience in product and service conceptualization, design, development, and commercialization preferred.
