NJ Employer Farm Worker in Bridgeton, New Jersey

Anticipated period of employment: 02/25/2024 to 11/25/2024

PREPARE TREES FOR HARVEST BY CUTTING ROOTS AND REMOVING SOIL USING A SHOVEL, PICK AX AND HAND TOOLS. PACKAGE MECHANICALLY DUG TREES FOR TRANSPORT BY WRAPPING ROOT BALL IN BURLAP, TYING BASKETS AND BASKETS WITH SISAL ROPE AND CRIMPING WIRE BASKETS. WORKERS WILL COVER LOADED TRAILERS WITH TRANSPORT TARPS AND TIE TREES USING SISAL ROPE. WORKERS WILL UNLOAD BARE ROOT TREES TO BE PLANTED, CARRYING BUNDLES OF TREES WEIGHING 50 - 75 LBS FROM TRACTOR TRAILER STAGING AREA 50 -100 FEET AWAY. PRUNE, LOAD, PLANT AND STAKE NEW TREES. PERFORM GENERAL FARM DUTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, UNLOADING AND ORGANIZING SUPPLIES, CLEAN UP AND MAINTENANCE OF FARM GROUNDS AND FACILITIES. MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO WORK IN INCLEMENT WEATHER.
