Warehouse Forklift Operator

Monday through Friday 3rd Shift- 11:00pm-7:30am

Quaker Oats, part of PepsiCo, is looking for a Warehouse Forklift Operator to work in our fast-paced 24-hour operating manufacturing environment.

A Forklift Operator safely operates a powered forklift per safety regulations and performs manual labor along/at the end of the production line and loads/unloads trailers.

As a full-time team member, you would work 40 hours per week and overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Below is a list of responsibilities that would include but, are not limited to:\ * Using forklift and/or pallet jack to move product or raw materials to/from storage and production equipment\ * May rotate through roles in Warehouse department\ * Operate industrial vehicles and equipment\ * Conducts regular inspections of forklifts and changes and maintains the battery\ * Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished good to designated area\ * Usage of WMS and SAP to run schedules and reports\ * Maintains accurate cycle count procedures for all ingredients\ * Load and unload designated trailers and/or route trucks\ * Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures\ * Knowledge of trailer quality and safety checks\ * Select product for customer shipment\ * Complete safety, quality, inventory, and production reports/records timely and accurately\ * Conduct pallet inspections\ * Knowledge of warehouse outbound loading diagrams\ * Keeps assigned machines and area clean and safe\ * Demonstrates overall understanding of supply chain management\ * May perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Training:\ * Must be open to being cross trained in other parts of Warehouse\ * All employees new to the department will start on the wrapper\ * Allow 6-12 months to fully train for this position\ * Will need to train others

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\ * High school diploma or GED equivalent, is preferred\ * Immediate computer skills (Excel, Word, WMS, MARS)\ * Decision making and problem-solving skills\ * Knowledge of regulatory compliance\ * Understands basic directions, requires minimal follow up\ * Detail oriented and open communication skills\ * Must be able to work independently and have strong team skills when required\ * Forklift Certification

Working Environment:\ Working conditions are normal for manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. Work may involve frequent lifting of material and product up to 50 pounds

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but, not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes/boots, and safety gloves

Work will involve excessive climbing of stairs/ladders, bending, pushing/pulling, crawling on hands and knees, working in tight/confined spaces, and heights that could exceed 100 feet
