Aerotek MIG Welder in Bridgman, Michigan
Description:
Perform welding duties using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW on steel components. You will be welding and fabricating semi-truck trailer chassis from raw material to finished product.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform flat-butt and vertical-up welds
Perform various complex welds
Weld off from specified blueprints, work orders, diagrams, layouts, and instructions
Operate related machines such as forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, etc.
Operate hand and power tools
Qualifications:
6 Months of MIG welding experience
Recent welding program graduate
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Ability to perform complex welds and read blueprints
Work Environment/Shift:
1st shift
6:00am - 2:30pm
Must be willing to work in a large facility that can get quite hot in the summer and cold in the winter
Some parts of the facility are a little dim
Steel-toed boots required
