Position classification
Hybrid -- Job duties and expectations allow for onsite and remote work scheduled every week. Employees in this classification are regularly scheduled onsite one (1) to four (4) days per week based on the County needs and as determined by Department Director. Hybrid classified roles can be onsite more than the set minimum based on employee preference.

What Success Looks Like In This Job
As the Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist, you will be part of the Learning and Development Team and will work collaboratively with teams across various departments. Your role is critical to supporting the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of our learning management system. You will provide administrative support, troubleshoot, upload content and courses and provide technical support to users. Your role entails having a love for working within systems, streamlining processes, while also utilizing data and metrics to monitor system health and our customer’s experience utilizing our learning management system.

Examples of Duties for Success
Optimize the use of our learning management systems (LMS) by identifying strengths, opportunities, and improvements for how to effectively leverage the system.
Manage, schedule, and coordinate all course logistics which includes inputting courses within the system, coordinating accommodations for learners, reserving rooms, monitoring registrations and waitlists, and enrolling and emailing participants regarding upcoming sessions.
Upskill users in effectively navigating our learning management system by creating training resources, micro learnings, and conducting support workshops.
Collaborate with County Communications to conceptualize, design, and create print and electronic materials including graphics, newsletters, flyers, pamphlets for new and continuing programs/courses that are accessible and inclusive
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product and system updates regarding our learning management system.
Track, analyze, and present content related to learner enrollment, completion, satisfaction, engagement, and feedback.
Develop learning and development reports and dashboards.
Serve as support role for learning and development initiatives (includes performing any necessary administrative tasks, preparing materials and other presenters, etc.) to ensure training needs and deadlines are met.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and external vendors to assist in the delivery of their training/learning solutions.
Serve as a facilitator within the County's Learning & Development team and have skills in presenting the County's key curriculum.
Assist in the development of strategic efforts surrounding learning & development initiatives and programs; to include budget, reporting, branding, content, and marketing.
Assist in promoting and developing training programs, collaborating with L&D team regarding instructional design to identify skill or knowledge gaps to be addressed.
Obtain certification or credentialing in approved training programs, content, and materials.

As the Learning Management Systems Specialist, your success is integral to the overall success of our Learning & Development team as we support to the learning and development needs of a 2,800-member organization. In this role, your essential knowledge, skills, abilities, and responsibilities will be rooted in the following areas:
Administrator:Serve as the main point of contact. Administer and manage our learning management system. Enroll new users into the system, add and update learning products and content. Integrate associated systems.
Optimizer:Utilize the learning management systems (LMS) by identifying ways to make processes efficient, maximize program use, and upskill staff on effectively using the system based on need. Manage to uncover broad patterns and trends in data to enhance both our LMS and the overall organizational performance.
Customer Service Focused:Ability to interpret and anticipate the needs of our customers. Center the customer’s needs by approaching each person with empathy, creative problem-solving, and flexibility.
Evaluator:Able to monitor progress and track learner performance within the organization. Generate customized learning reports for various stakeholders. Ensure that our organization’s learning objectives are met.
Storyteller:Assist in effectively building a compelling narrative based on data and analytics that help tell learning and development’s story and impact. An ability to package data so that it is accessible, actionable, and easy to understand by utilizing reports, dashboards, stories, and infographics.
Consultant:Work with customers from various departments in configuring courses, provide user permissions, user roles, learning paths, and training materials. Provide solutions and recommendations to create a more user-friendly experience and optimize the system.
Communicator:Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively convey visual and written information to stakeholders, actively listen, and tailor messaging based on audience, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and customers and facilitate courses.
Innovator: Develop ways to boost engagement and motivation in working with our system. Possessing curiosity and skill in designing, marketing, and communicating our content in a way that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. More Qualifications for Success
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years as System Administrator for Learning Management system with at least (1) year of experience assisting in training, facilitation, or organizational development functions.
Strong knowledge of various LMS platforms
Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues
Exhibited strong proficiency in extracting and analyzing data across multiple organizational levels and programs. This expertise ensures precise and timely reporting, effectively supporting stakeholders and enhancing program outcomes
Bilingual/Spanish-speaking skills are preferred
Education & Training:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, or a closely related field is preferred
License or Certification:none

State residency in Colorado is required at the time of appointment
This position will require some travel between locations. The locations are all located within Adams County, Colorado. Candidate should have the ability and means to travel as needed for the position.
