SUMMARY:

The Cold Heading Operator role with *Atlas Copco *involves hands-on manufacturing of self-piercing rivets (SPR) using a 6-station cold heading machine. Responsibilities include machine setup, operation, tooling changes, and troubleshooting quality issues. Operators must adhere to safety protocols, follow work instructions, and maintain a clean work area.

DUTIES:

• Demonstrate safe work practices

• Set up and operate cold header machines

• Follow work instructions and procedures

• Change tooling and weld coils as needed

• Maintain quality using Statistical Process Control

• Achieve production targets with low scrap rates

• Troubleshoot quality issues during production

• Run multiple cold-heading machines

• Follow 5-S principles

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Good oral and written communication

• Safety and quality focus

• Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical aptitude

• Self-driven with high attention to detail

• Ability to use measuring tools and read prints

• Basic computer and math skills

• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented

• Positive attitude with a growth mindset

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. periodically

• Move around production area, including standing and bending

• Good visual acuity for reading and using operations software

• Push or pull tool/welding kits

• Occasional crouching or bending to operate controls low to the ground

SCHEDULE:

• 2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
