Work Skills Co./Action Associates Line Leader in Brighton, Michigan
We are seeking a skilled working Line Leader to join our team. As a Line Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the production line and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and mechanical knowledge. We build engine packages out of wood, package engines, and other automotive parts.
* The key thing here is that you will be **required to fill in for all the positions on the line which includes using hand tools to build wooden cradles, knowing the different packages, building wood and corrugated boxes, and working well with people to train them on their jobs. It will also entail fixing broken packages and alerting your supervisor to quality issues with parts or packages. This is a WORKING line leader position.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee the activities of the production line
Train and mentor team members on proper assembly techniques
Monitor production progress and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools and power tools
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Working with wood, nail guns, staple guns, and saws is a must have skill
