WTW Client Service Delivery - Claims Consultant in Brisbane, Australia
We are currently seeking a full-time Claims Advisor with 5+ years’ experience in an insurance workers compensation or personal injury insurance claims to join the WTW Natural Resources Team based in Brisbane. The role may involve occasional interstate travel where required by client and business needs.
This permanent full-time role will be seconded on a full-time basis to an ASX20 Company (The Client) for a 12-month period with options to renew.
Reporting to the Client Managing Counsel – Injury Claims, your Secondment will require you to assist the Client Managing Counsel with non-legal insurance claims management work including:
Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage injury liability claims as an insurance claims specialist capacity in the context of our client’s Charter Values and Risk Management Framework
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to obtain evidence in accordance with disclosure obligations in relation to injury liability claims.
As an employee of WTW you will report directly to our Global Client Advocate, WTW Australia.
The Role
Drive portfolio wide strategies to optimise management and settlement of injury liability claims as an insurance claims specialist
Manage evidence, including conducting and overseeing factual investigations
Provide instructions to and has day to day oversight and strategic management of the external legal panel in relation to litigated injury claims
Manage the settlement authorisation process to obtain financial authorisations from the Principal, Group Workers’ Compensation
Manage internal stakeholder engagement on individual injury liability claims
Assist in the development and delivery of targeted training for internal stakeholders

The Requirements
Personal Injury or Worker’s compensation claims handling experience at an insurer or broker
Holder of all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation
Seeking highly organized, detail focused individual who takes pride in their work
Knowledge of insurance regulations, guidelines and legislation
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong ability to build and manage relationships
Sound ability to facilitate training and presentations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Some travel will be required, and you are required to have a valid and appropriate driver’s licence
Law Degree or equivalent formal qualification would be highly regarded but is not a prerequisite
Cert IV in general insurance and Diploma qualification (or equivalent experience) would be highly regarded but is not a prerequisite
