Senior Quality Engineer

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Quality Engineer/Staff QA Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Brno, Czechia. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality products. Your main responsibility will be promoting a culture that prioritizes quality, encouraging everyone to actively participate and contribute to flawless processes and exceptional product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a Quality-first culture by driving awareness, engagement, proactivity, and positive behavior change.

• Participate in deploying the Quality strategy and address key Quality topics and issues.

• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enhance the quality of critical processes.

• Increase organizational quality skills through training, education, mentoring, and coaching.

• Support organization to ensure compliance with the quality management system and assess and proactively manage risks.

• Lead multi-site cross-functional programs and projects using effective project management skills.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in a technical field (for example, Quality, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering) and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a similar blend of education and experience.

• Proven track record of improving quality in manufacturing or development processes.

• Strong program/project management skills with the ability to manage complex programs/projects from start to finish.

• Knowledge of improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), auditing experience, and statistical methods.

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and its application.

Additional Requirements:

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Strong ethical standards, proactive attitude, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication abilities and capacity to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.

• Fluent English language skills, both oral and written.

• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally, up to 25% of the time.
