Summary You will serve as a FACILITIES SUPPORT CONTRACTS SUPERVISOR in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will exercise leadership in carrying out assigned supervisory duties (e.g., counseling, support of EEO programs) to resolve conflicts among juniors. You will analyze contractor costs (e.g., direct, indirect overhead, material, labor, production costs, general and administrative expenses) to reduce indirect costs. You will develop cost estimates for sponsors by analyzing business costs (e.g., contract costs, production costs, or testing costs). You will develop and implement strategic plans to address organizational requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning work and assigns work to and supervises subordinates' activities; 2) Determining work priorities and establishes schedules for meeting of priority work within time limitations; 3) Interpreting new and revised rules/regulations and instructs subordinates in the application thereof, with authority to deviate from these regulations when required to meet unusual circumstances or unprecedented transactions; and 4) Requiring knowledge of the major aspects of all NAVFAC Southwest business lines including the contracting, technical, business and financial aspects.
