Brockton Hospital Coordinator, Environmental Services in Brockton, Massachusetts

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director, responsible for implementation of department orientation, employee training in the department and unit based training, conducting and maintaining mandatory education for existing requirements as well as new initiatives, assist in maintaining employee training records. Responsible for standardization of cleaning processes, cleaning techniques, and equipment usage in accordance with regulatory standards. In conjuction with the EVS Director and fellow supervisors, plan and implement projects that relate to EVS. Maintain and support time card credibility as well as approval for time-off requests.

This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position
Responsibilities:
Maintain the Master Schedule for daily operations and time-off requests
Set up daily assignment sheets, adjust daily assignments, enter assignments to TDSS, set-up pagers, phones, initiate TDSS
Training, coaching, monitoring and coordination with staff on all elements of safety, process, supplies, TDSS
Be available to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays if required
Sustains regulatory requirements for Life Safety, Bio-Waste handling, Trash handling (Radiation handling), Morgue
Ability to supervise employees at any site as required. Ex. Coverage, emergency situations

BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDE/EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of Joint Commission, DPH, and other pertaining regulatory compliance
Ability to manage staff including coaching, training, corrective action
Ability to utilize and navigate computer software. Ex. Excel, Word, TDSS, Meditech, SigEd
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of inventory control, maintenance, ordering existing and research of new products
Must be self-motivated to accomplish required tasks and projects
Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:
Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s preferred
Experience 5 plus years experience in healthcare
Certification/Licensure: CHESP or equivalent experience
Software/Hardware: Excel and Word. TDSS and Meditech a plus
