Responsibilities
Participates in the development of other staff membersIdentifies learning strengths and needs
Identifies and designs programs that facilitate organizational development.
Evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities at the level of the learner, the department and the institution.
Develops, coordinates and implements activities to achieve educational objectives.
Conducts, reviews and evaluates department’s educational needs assessments.Selects appropriate instructional strategies for educational programs.
Designs, develops and organizes training manuals, references, multi-media instructional aids, and other educational materials.
Serves as a clinical educational resource, role model and facilitator for staff.Coordinates activities for maintaining educational materials.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and its employees.
Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of the compliance with corrective/improvement activities, membership on CQI teams, consistent and specific rules and regulations of the B.L.H.C. (a) Safety & Security Polices, (b) Risk Management; Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures, (d) Patient and Customer Service.
Qualifications
Two (2) years of teaching experience
Demonstrates leadership abilities
Demonstrates clinical expertise in Nursing
RN licensed in New York
