We operate programs in the New York Metropolitan area and Hudson Valley.Job Summary:The Clinician/Therapist provides individual and/or family therapy for children and youth services in the Treatment Family Foster Care/Group Home program. Responsible for the preparation of goal-oriented diagnostic assessments, individual & group counseling, and program enrichment. This position provides comprehensive assessment and treatment to address identified personal, behavioral or family issues, using a strength-based, youth and family development approach and ensures that the experienced trauma of each child/family are embedded into practice. Will provide clinical guidance to the Case Managers and Socio therapist staff and participate and provide expert/professional support in treatment team meetings concerning mental health issues and behavior management. They will also provide clinical guidance and professional support in treatment team that concern the welfare of the program youth.Duties and Responsibilities:- Provides individual, group and/or family therapy to children and youth in the Treatment Foster Care and Group Home Departments.- Coordinates and collaborates with other Mental Health Services providers if youth is been seen outside for mental health treatment.- Attend regularly scheduled social services treatment team meetings for case reviews and treatment planning for children in residential and community based placements.- Assists social service staff in identifying appropriate educational, developmental and mental health services in communities where children reside.- Serve as a clinical liaison with community mental health providers who are serving children in foster placement with Abbott House.- Maintain clinical records and progress notes and submit monthly updates- Attend clinical staff and team meetings in which clinical issues, and agency and department functioning are discussed.- Provides complete documentation of evaluations and treatments according to agency standards.- Knowledge of evidence practice and complex trauma.- Knowledge of childhood development, family dynamics, and trauma based behaviors.- Some flexibility is required in terms of evening or weekend hours.- Fully COVID VaccinatedEducational Requirements:- Master’s Degree in a related field required.- LMSW required- LMHP and LCSW preferred.What We Offer:Health Insurance. Minimum Salary: 55,000 Maximum Salary: 60,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
