Ford Motor Company Production Supervisor- Incoming Quality in Brook Park, Ohio

In this position...
You will work directly with the production teams, responding to quality issues on the production floor. You will take the lead in resolving Quality Concerns, ensuring containment actions are put in place and following up with Suppliers to resolve concerns. This is a critical role for the plant and requires excellent communication skills, detailed documentation of concerns, quick response and follow up.

What you'll do...
Respond to production issues resulting from incoming quality issues.
Review concerns on the production floor, to determine responsibility of concern
Perform Periodiic Job Observations (PJO), to ensure operators are performing their jobs to Operator Instruction Standards (OIS)
Issue Quality Concern reports (QR) to the responsible suppliers
Coordinate meetings with suppliers, to drive quality concerns to closure
Work with suppliers to follow the 8D process
Track open issues & communicate to the Quality, Engineering & Production teams
Work with Quality, Engineering & Production to solve open quality issues
Track process changes at the Supplier and in plant that affect customer quality
Work with MP&L on Quality Concerns to ensure containment and prevent cycle loss
Review Birth History on engines with quality issues and report out findings to the team and supplier
Lead Incoming Quality containment actions
Supervise Quality Hourly personnel
Review components in G-19 Containment crib for disposition
Lead supplier quality investigations that are related to issues found at Vehicle Operations (VO)
Work with hourly incoming quality coordinators and End of Line (EOL) inspectors
Occasional travel to VO plants and/or suppliers required.
You'll have...
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
Even better, you may have...
Knowledge of Engine architecture / function
Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
Strong Written and verbal communication skills
Strong Interpersonal skills. Customer focus
Ability to read part prints
Knowledge / Experience in use of Ford Quality Operating System and supporting applications:
8D
GSAR system for generating supplier concerns
CMMS - placing parts on open reject, scrapping parts, and creating shippers
Quality Leadership System Components Manufacturing (QLS-CM)
Quality Works (QWX)
Work Force 1
Outbound Logistics (OBL)

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
