ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: North Shore Bank\'s Position Descriptions are intended to describe only the major functions of the job. You may be expected to perform other duties specified by your manager. Everyone is expected to contribute whatever efforts necessary to operate efficiently and effectively to insure the success of the Bank. Manages an existing portfolio of commercial loans, and generates new loan activity from the existing portfolio and external sources, with a production goal to be set by the department manager. Refers new commercial loan opportunities to senior loan officers when necessary; develops and maintains a relationship with existing customers and centers of influence (COIs); and, provides information on lending products and policies. In conjunction with the portfolio managers in the credit department, the candidate is responsible for tracking and gathering information needed for loan renewals, modifications and/or watch loan updates. Works closely with senior loan officers and customers throughout the process, from initial contact through closing. Explains loan terms and conditions and analyzes loan details to determine eligibility within the Bank\'s policies and procedures. Assesses and explores opportunities for new business.
