Robert Half is recruiting for a Staff Accountant for an organization in the Brookfield, WI area. The role is central to the financial operations of our organization, with a focus on tasks such as preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded

• Update accounts payable (AP) and perform reconciliations

• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned

• Update accounts receivable (AR) and perform reconciliations

• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned

• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

• Assist with other accounting projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in executing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to maintain and manage the General Ledger

• Experience in managing and recording Journal Entries

• Capability to carry out Month End Close procedures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
