The Laboratory Technician works with scientists, engineers, and technicians supporting quality control, product support & development testing. The technician will perform sample preparation and analysis as part of a laboratory team. The technician will review, authorize and report results, support document creation and revision, and participate in continuous improvement projects for the lab. The role functions as part of the Analytical Laboratory that works under ISO17025 requirements in the medical device field.
This is for a 2nd shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.
Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection.
Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent
Nice to Have
2-year technical degree in metallurgical, electronic, mechanical, or related technical discipline.
Experience working in, and documenting experiments in a highly regulated environment.
Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Experience with continuous improvement tools such as, Lean Sigma, or Six Sigma.
Experience, and understanding of cGMP, ISO17025, and FDA requirements.
Good written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with clients, laboratory personnel, and other functions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to prioritize and execute, with high level of detail, on daily tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
Experience with equipment set-up, cleaning, troubleshooting, calibration and operation.
Experience with microscope as an analysis tool for dimensional measurement and evaluation

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
