Poly Prep Country Day School (PPC)
Thirty years ago Cater to You Food Service began providing lunch programs to independent schools. Today, CTY prepares more than 13,000 fresh meals daily for students ranging from pre-schoolers to high school seniors. Our wholesome offerings are always created on-site, from scratch, using better-for-you premium products. Your Pay
$17 / hour
What you'll be doing:
Customer Focus: Maintains CTY’s customer-driven approach to service.
Food Production: Follows standards that produce the highest quality product representing the CTY ideals of focusing on healthy, portion-controlled, and sustainable local foods.
Peel, dice, shred and slice food products using knives or electric equipment.
Wash and clean raw food products.
Follow proper portion control guidelines.
Keep work area and equipment neat and clean at all times.
Support and participate in common teamwork with all unit members.
What we're looking for:
Skills : dressing emulsification vinaigrettes, vegetable identification
Must-haves:
At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items.
Customer service experience is required.
Nice-to-haves:
Food handlers’ certification
