Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Job Summary:

We seek a talented and proactive HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will be crucial in supporting various HR functions, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in HR practices, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with employees and managers at all levels effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers, providing guidance and support in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Participate in the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, interviewing, and selection. Conduct effective onboarding processes to integrate new hires into the organization seamlessly.

  • Policy and Procedure Implementation: Assist in developing, revising, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and practices that comply with legal requirements and align with organizational goals.

  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, answer employee inquiries about benefits, and ensure accurate enrollment and eligibility processes.

  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and collaborate with management to organize relevant training sessions. Support career development initiatives and succession planning.

  • Performance Management: Assist in the performance management process, providing guidance on goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Compile and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare regular HR reports for management review.

  • Employee Engagement: Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to enhance employee experience.

  • Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve employee disputes, grievances, and workplace conflicts fairly and effectively.

  • HR Projects: Participate in HR-related projects such as process improvements, organizational restructuring, and culture enhancement initiatives.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience (5 years) as an HR Generalist or similar role, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of HR functions.

  • Solid knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality, build trust, and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments and decisions independently.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
