RiseBoro Homecare Inc. Program Assistant, Friendly Visiting Program in BROOKLYN, New York
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general supervision of the Friendly Visiting Coordinator, the Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in all administrative/clerical tasks at the program. Additionally, the Program Assistant will assist with recruiting volunteers, client follow-ups, and outreach, while providing support for all programming at the Friendly Visiting Program. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Assist with the volunteer recruitment process i.e., screening, reference checks, etc.
Assist with monitoring calls to clients and volunteers as needed
Assist with data entry i.e., case notes, units, etc.
Assist with organizing, filing, copying, scanning, faxing, mailing, etc.
Assist with the coordination and expedition of volunteer recognition events.
Assist with volunteer outreach within and outside of the catchment area.
Assist in the collection of units of service from volunteers.
Other related duties as required by the Friendly Visiting Coordinator and Management.

Demonstrated knowledge of and a genuine concern for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of older persons
Basic computer skills, abilities, and knowledge with the ability to learn database maintenance
Strong organization skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills and customer service oriented
Ability to read, write, and speak English
A self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to help others
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
Ability to be flexible and adaptable with assigned work schedules and tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of one (1) year of related experience working with older adults preferred
