Salary Range:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 - $78,079 (TA)

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577 - $85,288 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083 (TA)

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will support the Facility & Safety unit's various tasks which includes bringing 848 rooms throughout the 4 boroughs into a state of good repair, a single point of contact between RTO and all maintenance, reconstruction and rehabilitation groups and the central point for purchase of equipment. Interface with Enterprise Asset Management, Recovery and Resiliency and Tower Hardening initiatives. Field visits will be required to obtain data, provide analysis and reporting for special projects such as Step Aside boxes, cleaning costs of RTO facilities, System Safety audits, division wide safety tasks, and related Internal Control Review activities.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst:

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

    Desired Skills:

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Tableau, Power BI applications.

  • Strong writing, research, and interpretation skills.

  • Ability to function independently with limited work direction.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

    Selection Method:

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
