Work-Life Balance Are you looking for a great work-life balance? Are you passionate about helping others? Then consider becoming a Respite Care Worker. What is a respite care worker you ask? The short answer is parents with children diagnosed with Intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) have it really hard and can use a break every so often. That's where respite comes in to save the day. Loving and caring individuals such as yourself devote their time to kick-in and care for these children for few hours so their parents can run errands, go out with friends, care for their other children or just relax. Make Your Own Schedule Our agency puts you and the parents in charge of your own schedule. We understand the importance of flexibility and convenience. Not everyday or weekend are limited to the same schedule. Flexibility is really important. That's why we simply connect the care provider with the parent of the child they will be caring for and allow them to use the times within the budget how and when they see fit.
What is required to be a Caregiver? Patience and love. Not everyone can be trained to do this job. It takes strength and determination. That said, there are requirements that will move you from a good caregiver to a great caregiver.
