Velosity Companies Quality Inspector Lead in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

MMD Medical, a Velosity Company is searching for a Quality Inspector Lead to support our 1st shift at our Brooklyn Park, MN location. The Quality Lead Inspector position is responsible for ensuring the overall execution quality plans, sampling plans, and control plans for incoming, in process, and final inspection requirements. This position is responsible for defining work priorities within the lab, as well as leading training for other inspectors. When required, the position will initiate material hold, nonconformance investigation, and execute approved material dispositions. The typical pay range for this role: $27.00 - $29.00/hour This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors. Follow dispatch reports or other inspection priority lists to ensure inspections meet delivery expectations. Primarily responsible for the training of other inspectors. Oversee all training provided in the quality inspection areas/labs. Perform all aspects of the Quality Inspector role when required (incoming receiving, in-process inspection, lot acceptance). Initiate QS nonconformance records and ensure product is properly quarantined within the production management/ERP system. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED-General Studies Certificate-Machine Trades or equivalent work experience 2+ years of Quality experience, preferably in a Medical Device or Component manufacturing environment Knowledge and understanding of basic Quality Systems (nonconformance, equipment calibration) Knowledge and understanding of inspection standards Ability to read, write in English, comprehend and follow work instructions. Ability to use a computer Ability to use hand tools Good manual dexterity and visual ability with high attention to detail Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Pulling, Twisting, Turning, Seeing, Hearing Ability to lift up to 30 pounds The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment: This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, and climate control. This position requires the employee to work on a manufacturing floor where they may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors, exposure to heat, noise, dust, dirt, oil and waste. Protective Clothing Required: When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations. icensing/Registration/Certification: Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
