As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team and contribute to our success.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual machine surface and cylindrical grinding, wire EDM, and setting up tool and die. Additionally, experience with manual mill and lathe operation as well as CNC lathe and mill experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual machines for surface and cylindrical grinding to produce high-quality tooling components.
- Utilize wire EDM machines to cut and shape complex parts with precision.
- Set up and maintain tool and die equipment to ensure efficient production processes.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in manual machine surface and cylindrical grinding.
- Proficiency in wire EDM operation. 6 months experience preferred.
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining tool and die equipment.
- Experience with manual mill and lathe operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC lathe and mill operation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical training in tool and die making is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in machining or tool and die making are a plus.
Valid PA Driver's License
