About the Role MWH Constructors is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team and support our Constructors group in our Broomfield, CO office. At the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will support all payroll functions required for the processing of timecards and payroll. This person will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of payroll data and maintenance, while ensuring day-to-day clerical processes are supported for 800 plus professional and craft employees. Essential Functions Responsible for pay period documentation filing to ensure proper record retention. Responsible for timely and accurate processing of employee payroll documents, to include direct deposit forms, state and federal tax forms, and verification of tax jurisdictions. Knowledge of human resource aspects of employee paperwork and its impact on the payroll process. Entry of all garnishment and child support orders. Responsible for paycheck distribution in accordance with check distribution codes and special instructions. Monitors and maintains Help Desk e-mails including research, responses to the employee and related follow-up, and data entry corrections/updates. Escalates complex issues to appropriate personnel. Complete employment verifications as required. Complete certified payrolls weekly. Professional interaction with various work groups to research accounting, payroll, and Human Resource issues related to employee paychecks, timecards, or FLSA status of the employee. Communicate employee issues and corrections both verbally and in writing to the employee, field management and various functional work groups in a professional, concise manner. Assist with internal and external audits. Perform payroll research and additional assignments as directed by the Payroll Manager, Controller, or Human Resources personnel. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline oriented environment. Strong customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role. Davis Bacon and Prevailing wage experience preferred Knowledge of relevant Federal/State/local requirements preferred Payroll records and pay practices preferred Solid communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Prior work history in a payroll department that is customer-centric focused preferred Prior work history that demonstrates flexibility and attention to detail. Process oriented and able to work cross functionally in team environments. Equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted. ERP System experience in multiple environments MS Office: Word and Excel expertise. Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of payroll experience preferred. College degree or coursework in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.
