Eurofins 6-month Internship - IT Finance Controlling in Brussels, Belgium

Within the IT Group Controlling team, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing financial data (Group IT expenses), tracking purchases, updating forecasts and maintaining the Group IT structure.

Furthermore, you will help your team members with consolidating and challenging different iterations of the annual Group IT budget. You will also aid month-end closing activities, including generating financial statements and management reports.

  • Support the annual budget cycle, including forecasts and mid-term planning;

  • Support the compliance cycle for budget deviations;

  • Update/create management reporting on a monthly basis;

  • Implement structure changes in the master data (creating and moving Business Units, creating Business Unit Clusters) and oversee the status throughout;

  • Assist in the purchase order creation and approval process.

  • Support the GSC IT Controlling transformation initiatives.

This internship is compensated. An internship agreement with your university is required.

Duration: 6 months.

Starting date: January/February 2025.

You will support the team on a range of challenging projects, with intensive coaching, and training, with clear areas of responsibility. You will take on challenges as part of a multi-cultural and cross-regional team in an international and fast-growing organisation.

Education: currently working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration;

IT skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and/or Access, VBA Programming and knowledge of Coupa is a plus; affinity with IT;

Language skills: fluent English;

Personal skills: highly analytical and structured approach, strong reasoning abilities; self-motivated and able to troubleshoot and work independently with minimum supervision.
