The Clean Room Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of the controlled environment in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. The role involves performing cleaning, monitoring, and support tasks to ensure all equipment, tools, and production areas meet strict quality and safety guidelines. This position is vital for ensuring the successful production of high-quality biotech products.
Responsibilities: Clean Room Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of clean room facilities and equipment according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to maintain a sterile environment. Environmental Monitoring: Conduct and document regular environmental monitoring, including air quality, particulate counts, and surface testing, to ensure the clean room meets required cleanliness levels. :::
::: {rs-collapsible-content="expanded" aria-hidden="true" aria-expanded="true"} Material Handling: Assist with the preparation and transfer of materials into and out of the clean room using aseptic techniques, ensuring proper gowning and handling procedures are followed.Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain clean room equipment such as air filtration units, autoclaves, and biosafety cabinets, performing routine checks and preventive maintenance to avoid contamination risks. Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete logs, batch records, and inspection forms to track cleaning activities, equipment performance, and any deviations from standard procedures. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA, ISO, and OSHA. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, and engineering teams to support manufacturing processes and troubleshoot any cleanliness or contamination issues.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or certification in biotechnology, microbiology, or related field preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a clean room environment, preferably in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or medical device manufacturing. Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards, and clean room classifications (ISO 5-8) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex protocols and procedures. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain focus for extended periods. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation. This role requires working in a clean room setting with strict gowning requirements and exposure to controlled environments. May involve extended periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks in a sterile environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed. :::
