Catholic Health Initiatives Exercise Physiologist in Bryan, Texas

Overview

The network includes more than 30 ambulatory clinics featuring Primary Care, Express Clinics and Imaging and Diagnostic Services.

Responsibilities

The Exercise Physiologist delivers quality care to patients and is accountable for implementing and supervising all phases of the physical exercise program, including Cardiac Rehab Phase I and Phase II, Pulmonary Rehab, maintenance programs, and cardiac stress testing, as applicable to location. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including the patient and significant others. These services are delivered in compliance with CommonSpirit Health’s mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures.

Position will rotate between outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehab, inpatient cardiac rehab, and stress lab as needed.

Hours vary based on needs, anywhere from 10-40 hours a week (2 shifts per week)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree; Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science

  • BLS CPR certified, American Heart Association

  • ACLS training within first 90 days

Minimum Experience:

12 week internship - cardiac rehab or stress lab

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective Communication

  • Knowledge of the principles and skills of the clinical process to provide patient care and treatment.

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal

  • Basic Computer skills

Pay Range

$21.23 - $29.20 /hour
