Major Responsibilities and Duties: Align the major functions of the assignment with district goals such that all students succeed. 1. Assist schools with planning for a positive school environment by building better relationships with administrators, teachers, students, and the community. 2. Work under the direction of a certified teacher/administrator in providing assistance in developing behavior plans for students that address individual needs through tiered interventions. 3. Be responsible for the implementation of intervention plans and supplemental instruction to groups of at-risk students assigned by the teacher/administrator based on data and/or RtI identification. 4. Assist schools with problem solving on behavior issues. 5. Provide teacher consultations/feedback regarding student behavior. 6. Respond to, assist, and de-escalate behavior of students during crisis/behavior incidents. 7. Assist with progress monitoring of tiered interventions, including maintaining data pertaining to progress monitoring. 8. Supervise students during redirect or cool-down periods. 9. Use appropriate intervention strategies such as discussion, problem solving and role playing. 10. Assist with behavior training programs. 11. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material or skills introduced by the teacher. 12. Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work as assigned by the teacher. 13. Assist with supervision of students during meals, emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, or field trips. 14. Keep the principal informed of any special needs or problems of individual at-risk students. 15. Assist with supervision of daily routines and schedules. 16. Participate in appropriate staff development as required to ensure professional growth. 17. Participate in faculty meetings and special events, as needed. 18. Receive CPI training and maintain certification. 19. Follow all district/campus procedures and regulations. 20. Perform other duties assigned or requested by administration.
