An ISV is an Organization that has published Applications Powered by or Integrated with Oracle technology. The ISV Ecosystem is a key catalyst and accelerator for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure & platform growth.

Oracle is consolidating the dedicated EMEA ISV Cloud Labs within the Software and Cloud Engineering Organization to target and grow the ISV Enterprise Market. The EMEA ISV Cloud Labs Consultants are a pivotal Technical role supporting Oracle IaaS & PaaS ISV Solutions and Oracle SaaS Integration.

The EMEA ISV Cloud Labs Consultant’s key function would require Oracle Cloud Infrastructure & Platform technical expertise employed as a subject matter resource with the task of working closely with the EMEA Account Cloud Engineers to ensure that the Oracle products being offered can be tailored to meet the both the ISV Sell to and ISV Sell through Go-to-Market Business needs.

The Mission

Your mission is to work with Oracle’s largest ISV partners on migration strategies to move their IP to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and to develop their next-generation SaaS offerings on the OCI. You will work with internal Oracle Cloud offering teams, including Product Management and Development, to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient production cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of OCI services. In collaboration with ISV sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers, help our customers accelerate the adoption of OCI IaaS and PaaS – e.g. Compute, Storage, Java as a Service, Database as a Service – and successfully migrate the ISV partner’s applications from on-premise or cloud deployments to OCI services. In charge of driving the automation plan and DevOps strategy for the ISV partners.

This organization is focusing on ISV & OEM partners that integrate/embed Oracle technologies into their products, applications & solutions deployed in the cloud and/or on-premise at the customer, partner, or Oracle locations.

  • We are looking to recruit a colleague to be part of the Infrastructure team with experience in Cloud Infrastructure Security and Networking.

  • The team is part of the ISV Cloud Labs mainly responsible for migration of new ISV customers from on premise to OCI.

  • Oracle Cloud expertise or other Cloud experience is required.

  • May act as a security or network design engineer and deliver functional and technical solutions for the migration projects to meet customer requests.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • As a trusted customer advocate, you will help ISVs understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing production workloads to the cloud.

  • Migration: move or re-implement existing On-Prem services to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in a secure way and leverages the latest cloud services.

  • Provide implementation of the solutions as informed by Cloud Architects inside the organization.

  • Deliver workshops about the security solutions to meet the ISV Prime customer requests.

  • Troubleshoot various problems as part of the delivery process (including application and infrastructure) and provide internal analysis and support.

  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials and time estimates

  • Lead and generate excitement and usage of OCI services across various ISV partners segments

  • Mentor and train other engineers throughout the department and always seek to optimize and improve automation processes

  • Be part of a cross functional team aimed on developing automated and reusable IaaC suites and pipelines

  • Be passionate about your area of expertise and aim to gain more knowledge day to day

  • Acting as a technical consultant for customers in pre-sales & projects

  • Communicating, designing and guiding the migration for our customer, as well as do hands-on implementation when needed

  • Gathering requirements and defining the challenges for the migration & planning

  • Educating customers on best practices in cloud security

  • Helping to develop migration methodology and related tooling further

A key requirement is a strong understanding of the business and software solution opportunity presented by Oracle Cloud technology for major multinational enterprises. The ability to connect Oracle technology with measurable ISV business & technical value is critical.

Essential is a proven track record of delivering successful cloud projects and solutions, incorporating both ISV cloud business models and technical cloud ISV concepts.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience as a security and network administrator

  • Deep knowledge of networking and security concepts (routing, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, WAF, Load Balancer, Encryption, topology etc.)

  • Identity and Access Governance concepts

  • Familiar with Cloud security posture management and vulnerability scanning

  • Familiar with Keys and Secrets management

  • Ability to understand and troubleshot issues in complex network environments

  • Ability to troubleshoot based on logs and enable resource monitoring

  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

  • Strong Customer engagement experience.

  • Know-how to implement and control the flow of data, to and from a service provider

  • Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements

  • Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms

  • Ability to design and implement complex network environments from on-prem to Cloud.

  • Oracle Cloud Services knowledge (or similar - Azure/AWS)

  • Familiar with Linux/Windows OS administration

Nice to have

  • Experience with other Oracle Cloud products

  • Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP

  • Understanding of the DevOps Toolchain components, experience developing automation using open source tools, github.

  • Experience working with virtualization technology (Linux KVM, Hyper-V, vSphere etc)

  • Experience with implementing and using monitoring tools (DataDog, New Relic, Sematext, Zabbix, CloudWatch, OpsGenie, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana and/or others)

  • Cloud Configuration/Orchestration tools (such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

  • Familiarity with agile processes.
