The Estee Lauder Companies is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer within the Global Cloud Platform organisation. This position is responsible for the availability, latency, performance, capacity planning and overall health of one of the critical applications deployed on the Cloud.
You will create a bridge between development and operations teams by leveraging a software/development mindset to deliver on traditional systems administration tasks. You will also collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Managed Services, AppDev, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Networking and Security teams to ensure efficient delivery, testing, monitoring and health of environments via automation leveraging a wide breadth of tools.
You are passionate about technology that will enable business transformation, and engineering culture, and have significant experience energizing and coordinating technology organizations across multiple locations.
Qualifications
Technical Competencies
Experience with entire app development lifecycle, designing and troubleshooting large-scale, real-time systems
Experience with Public Cloud Platforms(Azure, AWS, etc.)
Ability to script or program in one or more languages (e.g. Python, GoLang)
Experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes architectures
Knowledge of networking, load balancing, HTTP response codes, API management
Experience with advanced monitoring and logging tooling and concepts (e.g. ELK, Datadog, Prometheus)
Experience with using and troubleshooting best-of-art CI/CD tooling using Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps etc
Experience using configuration automation and deployment orchestration tools. Ie Ansible, Chef, Puppet
Integrating security tools, configurations, and testing into CI/CD pipelines in an Agile environment
Collaboration
Enable the business by defining SLOs with a focus on reducing time to market for delivery
Track SLIs to evaluate whether the system is meeting the required reliability percentage
Provide functional or technical expertise and consultation to teams for solutions matched to business needs
Lead, when needed, blameless postmortem sessions to learn and improve from failure
Analytical/Decision-Making Responsibilities
Proactively look for opportunities to automate every aspect of the application and security lifecycle
Demonstrated strong analytical skills and technical problem-solving skills; exceptional verbal and written communication skills, open collaboration and attention to details
