Eaton Corporation Commodity Specialist (German speaker) in Budapest, Hungary

What you’ll do:

This global/EMEA role will assist in the development and management of sourcing strategies to position Filtration and execute those strategies to achieve growth, cost, quality and delivery goals. They will be

responsible for managing the commodity in the sourcing, supplier selection and relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton’s purchases. The Commodity Specialist executes direct material cost

out projects and strategies which requires global coordination with Supply Chain, Product Management, Operations and Engineering.

-Develop, plan, monitor and execute direct material cost out projects utilizing the Eaton Standard Sourcing Process to achieve the cost down and project schedule goals. The projects will provide NET 3%

savings to achieve SCM objectives.

-Implement and execute on global commodity sourcing strategies to effectively leverage Eaton’s global Filtration spend in conjunction with the Global Category Manager to deliver cost benefits.

-Help keep commodity strategies aligned with latest internal and external environmental, market and economic factors. Build and maintain organizational consensus and alignment to the commodity

strategies.

-Negotiates and manages key strategic supplier agreements, cost negotiations and relationships for EMEA.

-Partner and collaborate with external suppliers, commodity managers and buyers, supply development engineers, manufacturing plants and engineering globally.

-Lead projects through a standard process to define scope and requirements, complete risk planning and user technical reviews, manage the request for proposal process with external suppliers, manage

APQP (Advanced Part Quality planning) phase of project, and manage project multifunctional phase gate reviews. Track status and planning in a program management portfolio tool and using MS project.

-Manage the supplier identification and selection for New Product Development projects for assigned commodities.

-Responsible to maintain supply continuity via risk identification and mitigation.

-Develop positive relationships with suppliers and demonstrates Eaton’s ethics, values and philosophy.

-Conducts Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers on a regular basis.

-Develop strong positive ethical relationships with suppliers & adhere to Eaton’s Code of Conduct

Qualifications:

Basic Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited university

Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing, Engineering, or Supply Chain experience

Proficient in spoken and written English & German.

Preferred Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience for a global manufacturer

Project Management experience

Buying and strategic procurement experience
