What is the job about?

As a Senior Accountant, you will be overall responsible for the RtR activities of the assigned companies, you will ensure true and fair picture of the books, acting as gatekeeper for RtR activities during month-end closing.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Lead the operation of accounting activities and ensures the timely fulfilment of all reporting requirements and compliance related requests according to Grundfos accounting principles

  • Perform analytical tasks and communicate results to stakeholders to support the entity in the financial reporting process, ask the right questions related to unusual balance movements

  • Professionally coordinating the work of the respective accountant

  • Drive and control MEC and YEC, act as single point of contact

  • Provide functional support for handling escalations and propose further actions if needed

  • Support audit in case of questions, represents the FSS activities related to the entity

  • Coordinate and lead migration activities and enforce standard process splits are followed

  • Ensure that documentation is complete, up-to-date and available

  • Be responsible for analysing CPI-s/KPI-s and following up problems, and proposing necessary corrective actions

  • Operate one finance team and Finance Delivery Model, organise collaboration forums, care for meeting documentation

  • Allocate and prioritise tasks among team members to meet deadlines and quality standards

  • Take responsibility over the quality of the books, by reviewing controls and reconciliations

  • Seek for continuous improvement opportunities to enhance effective MEC, processes and increase the quality of service

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Preferably Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Strong GL accounting knowledge

  • Preferably experience in process migrations and scope extension processes

  • Preferably proven record of Balance Sheet reconciliation experience

  • At least intermediate level in English

  • Good understanding of SAP – FI modul or similar systems

  • Strong MS Excel skills
