About the Role: Finance People Partner

The Finance People Partner works with the Sr. Director, People supporting the Global Finance team. You will be involved with initiatives to develop and engage S&P Global’s finance talent. There are over a thousand Finance professionals in 29 counties, primarily in India, USA, Philippines, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities and Impact

Responsibilities

  • Support initiatives to develop and engage finance professionals.

  • Support people leaders through the annual compensation and performance cycles while supporting our pay for performance culture.

  • Involvement in the successful running of the mentorship program

  • Ownership of the Finance Career Resources and Vibe Site on the company intranet (Sphere) to keep the information fresh and relatable to finance, including participation in the development of a Finance Career Map

  • Ongoing research of best practices to develop finance professionals.

  • Assistance to analyze and synthesize data to tell a story, eg. Compensation benchmarking data, Employee Satisfaction Survey

  • Champion and educate on new People programs and initiatives within remit including DEI, learning and development, engagement, rewards and talent.

  • Evolve to deepen knowledge of countries’ policies, practices, and general workforce employment legislation where we have finance talent.

  • Participate and partner closely with other People teams such as divisional and regional people partners, employee relations, talent, enablement, compensation, benefits, global mobility, immigration and legal leading to sound guidance to the business on matters like, but not limited to, performance, employee satisfaction results, hiring, promotions and other people related matters.

  • Overall, strong collaboration and partnership, in alignment with S&P Purpose and Values, to achieve annual finance people related goals while supporting the overall people goals and programs.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a related field or undergraduate degree in HR

  • Ability to build strong partnerships and work independently as well as with direction.

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness.

  • Experience supporting organizations with globally diverse cultures and geographically dispersed colleague bases.

  • Strong proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to remain agile and flexible in a matrixed People Partner model.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Workday

  • Knowledge or demonstrated interest in tools like Microsoft Power BI, Smartsheet, and other automation tools to help synthesize information.

  • Working knowledge of Excel and use of Pivot Tables and ability to create graphs.
