Press Operator
Job Description
This candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting press machines to print directly on our customer's products. The machine operator will focus on continuous improvement and productivity through teamwork. Responsibilities include monitoring the quality of the product as the press runs, changing inks, coatings, papers, decks, configurations, methods, and setup, and inspecting the quality of both the print and raw materials. Additional tasks involve cleaning plates, rollers, and other system components, changing doctor blades, and making necessary adjustments such as laydowns and removing excess oils and grease. The operator will also check and adjust mechanical parts such as gears, troubleshoot, and detect causes of problems.

Work Environment
AC controlled facility. Will be working near the back of the facility on the extruders and flexo presses. Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs, and occasional hair nets if in the sterile area. Gloves are required in the press department while loading rolls.
